Fingerpicked folk about a sea captain who is really a folk singer. This song was written in England. I was getting dressed to go perform and writing in my notebook in between putting on clean underwear, pants, shirt, buttoning a button, writing a bit, and finally getting dressed. I had the song close to finished condition by the time I got dressed, and I played the song at that folk club the following year. Like a Ralph McTell song.
